Many questions are submitted - These are some of the answers of those that I often hear -

#1   I am interested in a fun program that will help my childs overall fitness level, and can they enjoy tumbling and movement with ribbons, balls, hoops and skipping ropes?

The best classes for this question is Recreation( previously Sparkles for younger gymnasts and Spirit Classes for gymnasts 6 and up.)

#2  I have a child who has taken dance and/or gymnastics before and would like to try rhythmic gymnasts, which class should they go in?

I would suggest that the gymnast attend either the Recreational Class to start, or the Performance class if they are used to a long term program. The emphasis is having fun as a group and learning lots of new skills, but will also involve work on individual skills, from tumbling to throws and catches and more.

You can choose between a 1 hour or  1.5 hour, or even 2 hour training class.

#3  My child would love to start to compete and be part of the competitive team?

If you child is under the age of 10 - I would suggest that she be part of the Performance or Pre Competitive/Group training groups. In these programs we suggest that the gymnasts train 1 – 3 times per week.

If she is over 10 then we would ask to have her attend one of the team trainings and then meet with the director and discuss her coaching and training requirements.
